How can I find good homes for 2 cats in NYC?

We have to find new homes for our cats–my husband & children can’t live with them any more due to allergies. Any suggestions on finding them good homes? I’ve already worked my family and friends to no avail.

Look up cat rescue organizations. There are alot of them! I volunteer with Friends of Felines and they foster and care for cats until a home can be found. They also hold adoption days every month. They are located in Fairfield county, CT.
